Warden Bay playgroup is a friendly playgroup welcoming every child from 2 – 4 years old offering funded and paid session.

Open Every Weekday

Our playgroup is open every morning as well as Monday and Wednesday afternoons.

Funding

Our Playgroup sessions are funded for 3 to 4 year old and 2 years old if in receipt of certain benefits.

We also offer paying sessions.

Professional qualified staff team

Our experienced staff team are all qualified in paediatric first aid & safeguarding & are regularly updating their skills.

Learning Focused

We focus on building your child’s independence and development through play.

About Our Playgroup

Warden Bay playgroup is a friendly playgroup welcoming everyone. We cater for children age 2-4 years of age. We offer a variety of funding for 2, 3 & 4 year olds depending on qualifying criteria as well as privately funded sessions. We liaise with outside agencies to support the children in our care and have a good relationship with the local children centre and schools. Warden Bay Playgroup is situated in a village hall, we are close to the beach and park which we visit regularly.

At Warden Bay Playgroup we promote self independence, learning life skills and building confidence in our children alongside following the Early Years Foundation stage framework and supporting each child’s individual progress and learning. We offer a mix of child initiated play and adult led following each child’s individual interests.

We feel children learn best when they feel comfortable and doing what they enjoy and we incorporate learning into their play. We abide by all safeguarding requirements and special educational needs, Ofsted requirements and the early years foundation stage statutory requirements to ensure all our children thrive in our care.

Our team of professional dedicated and caring mums are here ready to care for you little ones.

TeresaManager, Safeguarding Lead & Family Liaison

Teresa has been with us officially since September 2014, she was originally a member of our committee and started to help as cover staff when taking a career break. Teresa has worked and studied very hard to become our Playgroup Manager
She is Lead safeguarding officer and fulfils her role to the highest standard. Teresa is also our family Liaison officer and will listen to any questions, queries and go above and beyond to help all families.

SachaKeyworker

Sacha has been at Warden Bay Playgroup since September 2015 & is the longest serving Playgroup assistant. She started at the playgroup following the birth of her little girl who later joined the setting. She is Level 3 qualified & works 4 mornings a week but is always happy to cover at short notice.

TasminKeyworker

Tasmin has been at Warden Bay Playgroup since September 2018 after both of her children attended the setting. Tasmin is currently Level 2 qualified but is working behind the scenes on her level 3 which she is due to complete very shortly. In Tasmin spare time she enjoys walking her dog along the beach.

LisaSnack & Lunch Supervisor

Lisa has just recently joined Warden Bay Playgroup, her eldest attended the setting and youngest still attends. Lisa supervises the snacks and lunches ensuring that the children eat a healthy option.

MeganKeyworker/SENCO

Megan is the youngest of our team & newly engaged to be married. She has been a permanent fixture in the Playgroup since September 2021. Megan assisted the playgroup with adhoc cover during the Covid Pandemic, loved it & when a permanent role became available she jumped at the chance to join us. She is a full time member of staff working all sessions & in the spare time she has she is currently studying her Level 3 diploma.

KayleighKeyworker

Kayleigh started with us in January 2022. Kayleigh had a good idea of the playgroup before joining us as both her children attended the setting. She is currently working towards her Level 3 diploma which should be completed shortly. Kayleigh works 5 mornings a week.

Jess UnderdownKeyworker

Jess has just recently joined Warden Bay Playgroup, after working at the local school alongside the SEN unit. She is aiming to study her level 2 diploma.

At Warden Bay Playgroup we intake in September, January and April. We are very flexible and if we have spaces they will be offered to those on the waiting list or high priority children.
